Langtang Region

Langtang offers a trek that feels peaceful from the very first day. The trail runs through forests, small Tamang villages, and long stretches of quiet valley where mountains peek in and out as you walk. Everything feels gradual—altitude, scenery, pace—until suddenly you arrive in the wide-open spaces around Kyanjin Gompa. From there, gentle day hikes to Kyanjin Ri (about 4,770 m) give you beautiful views without pushing too hard. Travelers often talk about the warmth of the people here and the trail’s calm rhythm. It’s a wonderful region if you want mountains without too much intensity.
