Teahouses (Mountain Lodges), Camp, Hotels in KathmanduHimalayan Chemi Treks & Expedition invites you to join a life-changing journey to the top of the world. Based in Nepal and led by expert Sherpa guides and certified mountaineers, we combine local knowledge with international safety standards to give you the best chance of a successful and unforgettable Everest summit.
The goal of the Mount Everest Expedition is to reach the tallest mountain range in the world, Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet, also known as Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters above sea level). Mount Everest is the ultimate representation of human perseverance and adventure, having been successfully climbed on May 29, 1953, by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa.
Following in the footsteps of the renowned climbers, the 60-day schedule for ascending Mount Everest via the South Col route is planned to provide a high success rate for Everest expeditions. It’s one of the best things a mountaineer can do, which is why climbing 6,000- and 7,000-meter peaks is a prerequisite for climbing Mount Everest.
However, true climbing enthusiasts aspire to achieve victory on this spectacular peak at least once in their lifetime. So, to make such mountaineers’ lifelong goal a reality, our experienced team, with years of expertise in guided excursions, has been leading a safe and protected trip to the summit of this majestic towering peak in the Himalayas.
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the lively district of Thamel. Take this day to relax and recover from your journey. Meet your expedition team and guides in the evening for a detailed briefing on the upcoming expedition, including safety protocols and acclimatization strategies.
Spend the day obtaining final permits and ensuring all equipment is in order. You can explore Kathmandu’s cultural sites such as Swoyambhunath Stupa or shop for last-minute trekking essentials. The evening is dedicated to packing and resting before heading into the mountains.
Take a thrilling early morning flight to Lukla, landing on one of the world’s most famous airstrips. Begin your trek by descending gently through forests and small villages along the Dudh Koshi River. Arrive at Phakding, a cozy settlement nestled beside the river, to spend the night.
